SoCal Museums FREE FOR A DAY!

Museum Entry is FREE! Get Your Love of ART Ready …

Art is the most experiential mode of emotion in existence. It gives us reprieve, curiosity, courage, hope, connectedness and tells the story of all we’ve been and all we hope to be. There is no greater transparency of the human spirit.

Urban Remedy LLCI’m a native Angeleno. Born in Santa Monica, raised in Los Angeles where I still reside. It is a city and province that epitomizes cultural diversity which makes for some of the most exquisite food, and even moreso, a rich creative environment that fosters and breeds truly brilliant artists. Once a year in Southern California, Museums across the south land invite everyone to come explore the multicultural and sophisticated terrain that spans every aspect of art and, they offer FREE ADMISSION for one day only. This year, that day happens to be on Saturday, January 31st.

As part of the 10th annual “Museums Free-For-All” program, children, families, and art lovers everywhere are invited to feast on art from every culture and every creative medium.

Among the participating museums this year will be the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), the California Science Center and the Skirball Cultural Center. The full list of participating institutions, below, comprises 25 individual venues, including some museums that already offer free admission on a daily basis (like the GETTY!).

The Jan. 31 offer is good for general museum admission only and does not apply to specially ticketed exhibitions, according to SoCal Museums, a joint marketing initiative among various local museums organizing the event.

Regular parking rates apply (Parking Fees: $8-15).

PLEASE NOTE: The Museum of Tolerance and the Zimmer Children’s Museum are both closed on Saturdays, and so they will be offering free general admission on Sunday, Feb. 1st.
