3. For the Mom who Loves pearls

The Pearl Source

Pearls may seem like a dated piece of jewelry but they’re making a comeback. In facts these little “gems” are timeless in appeal and versatile in appearance. We came across the Pearl Source, a family owned and operated online pearl store that features Freshwater, Akoya and South Sea Pearls. 4. For the Mom who loves Adventure

Psuedo Skydiving {wind tunnel}- or – Ziplining on Santa Catalina Island

Not every mom lives life according to planned so why not give yours the gift of adventure? Ever tried sky diving? Sure maybe that’s crazy so a safe way of giving her that rush? The wind tunnel. Another idea? Take her zip lining in the deep crevices of Santa Catalina Island.

The wind tunnel: A simulated skydiving experience that happens safely on the ground. While it sounds silly, this is actually how skydiving teams practice complex moves before jumping out of an airplane so if your mom has always wanted to go skydiving in theory but is still a little scared, the wind tunnel is the perfect option! (Plus it’s a lot more affordable!) A few options throughout the US are iFly, UK Skydiving Adventures, SkyVenture Montreal, and Skydive Perris.

Next up? How about sending her to California’s beautiful Santa Catalina Island to do the Zipline Eco Tour in the heart of the island? Propel down 5 separate zip lines dropping from 600 feet above sea level with one run that is 1,100 lineal feet long all on its own. A two-hour adventure, your mom will take in some beautiful scenery, learn about the island itself and when she’s done? Send her into town for margaritas!

5. For the Mom Who Loves her Wine

Winc | Secret Cellars | Vinoversal

A wine club might seem crazy but feeding your mom’s desire for that beautiful glass of vino only puts you in her good graces! We’ve tried our hand at several of these wine clubs and we chose three we actually use on the regular.

WINC | $13 bottles+: UNBOX. UNCORK. ENJOY. A world of wine at your doorstep each month. Our favorite pick for affordability and local options is WINC. We’ve been a member for the past year ordering four bottles each month. We do a monthly shipment of four wines (free shipping) and pay about $53 a month. All of the wines are interesting – and – you can see what’s coming or choose what you want prior to shipment. You can even decipher whether you want reds, whites, or both.

4 Bottles for $32

Secret Cellars | $80-$300: Secret Cellar serves those looking to dramatically improve their cellar selections with high-quality, limited-production boutique wines from some of the best wineries in California, primarily focused on Napa Valley. We meet daily with winemakers and proprietors, exploring their farming techniques, winemaking philosophy, and mission prior to tasting their wine. If we are impressed, we bring that selection to Secret Cellar and on to your table.

If you cringe at the thought of drinking low-quality, mass-produced table wine or grocery store selections, we’ve got you covered.

Vinoversal | $99 shipment: Tour the world with each shipment and savor wines created by brilliant winemakers. 6 bottles are hand selected from exquisite wine producing regions outside of the United States and are paired with a gorgeous, full color 52 page magazine which highlights the culture, local artisans and beautiful countryside of each region. Tasting parcels are $99+ tax (complimentary shipping always!) and ship every 3 months.
