[dropcap letter=”M”]aybe we can’t all afford the kind of decadent #brunches like the opulent concoction of succulent milk-fed lamb and cucumber yogurt infused with Krug Grande Cuvée champagne – decorated with an edible gold leaf garnish by Chef Andy Bates (which has a hefty price tag of £750 — $1175USD!!) but I’m guessing there are some pretty lavish (affordable) #brunches out there and it’s my mission to find them. And find a way to do it WITHOUT selling both kidneys.
So here are 3 I found that are indulgent brunches spanning the globe in order of most expensive to somewhat doable:

1. Lily & Bloom’s
Hang on to your hats, this is not a brunch for those hoping to save a little money. This is an overindulgent (and hopefully worth it) brunch inspired by, you guessed it, world cuisine. Located in the heart of Hong Kong inside the Hotel Lfk, Lily & Bloom’s promises to give your hunger a rave-worthy experience. (And if you’ve been there, PLEASE send us a note. We’d love to share our readers experiences.)
LILY & BLOOM draw their inspiration from the physical streetscapes and downtown street life that emerged in great cities near the turn of the 20th century. Beginning in Paris and migrating to London, New York, San Francisco, and Shanghai, the years of 1890-1930 marked the beginning of not just the modern city, but the way we now eat and drink.

Champagne and Caviar. Yes, please! So, in saying this we all know no one is walking away with a brunch of this caliber for less than $100 per person. And you’d be right. With a prix fixe menu ranging from 3-10 courses, a happy craving may be remedied in this NY stop. The kicker? You can also BUY that scrumotious caviar inside their on-site store.
So you’re in the molecular gastronomy capital of Germany and you want to eat Paleo. We’ve got you covered. With a rather broad menu for breakfast, you can feed your desires – and dietary restrictions at Sauvage.

Dawn Garcia is an LA born and bred Hispanic Latina. Growing up in a mixed race family that assimilated, and another that didn’t really allow for curiosity, the culmination of both became the driving force for pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo, and devoting her life to the fight for equality and social justice. In a quest to go against the grain, she started writing at a very young age to process trauma and better understand her innate desire to live out her free-spirited nature. She is a journalist and screenwriter who has developed original TV series’ and films. Her genres of choice are drama, dark comedy, and comedy. Her strengths lie in empathetic story lines, descriptors and dialogue — both natural and raw — and while diffused with humor, inevitably she hopes to show the thread that connects us all.
She is currently developing a comedy TV Series for MGM Studios/Gato Grande Productions. She is a mother, an activist, and lover of life.
