I was honored to be the CHIEF JUDGE of the OYSTER SHUCKING Competition, “Shuck It” at Off The Hook Santa Monica Seafood Festival that took place on the historic (and one of the last remaining pleasure piers), Santa Monica Pier. With 6 competitors (3 Chefs, 1 Restaurant GM, and 2 Hobby Shuckers) we set up shop in front of the Main Stage, I fitted my headset and mic on and away we went. Below is a look at the competition.

ATOD Magazine’s Founder, Dawn Garcia emcees the 1st Annual Off The Hook Seafood Festival on Santa Monica Pier. Dawn Garcia partners with Jolly Oyster as the Chief Judge for an Oyster Shucking Competition that will test the skills of chefs and hobbyists alike.
