I’m honored to have been in the close running in the @outstanding.screenplays competition! A huge congrats to @jeffrobowa + @cmersten for winning this year.

I deeply value the feedback from Emmy Winning @succession #writer @susansoonhe who had this to say about “The Confidence [wo]Men”:

“I greatly enjoyed the world of this show. The characters all seem quite real and persuasively human. The prime figures in this tale all come across as living people with strengths and weaknesses and strong motivations. The dialogue is impressively lively and has a feel of authenticity that persuades us we are dealing with people in action in the 1920s.

While there is lots of action and interplay in the first episode, it is clear that the writer of this script has a plan for a multi-episode show. Past incidents are skillfully presented in flashbacks. The demonstrations of confidence tricks are well handled. Three-card monte is played for us and glimpses into other tricks are shown. The Prohibition era of the 1920s is convincingly portrayed. This episode should hook intelligent viewers for the long haul.”
