Lately, while I create more then I ever have befor

Lately, while I create more then I ever have before, I find the anxiety of what’s happening in the world still manages to seep in. It manifests itself into sleepless nights, crying at TV shows just to release the feelings, being incredibly edgy, swarms of imposter syndrome taking hold of my thoughts, and oddly enough confronting the deepest darkest pain I have felt in my life.

This is #worldmentalhealthday and I’m here to say that even if you’re struggling, you are so appreciated, valued, beautiful, and I want to remind you that YOU define you. No one else.

Love yourself. Forgive those who couldn’t love you and instead put that energy into living the life you dream of.

In 1998, I had the great fortune of traveling to #

In 1998, I had the great fortune of traveling to #Belize for a #Writing Workshop, which then led me to spend a day #Guatemala. With a population of 18,000,398, Guatemala accounts for 0.23% of the total world population with 60 percent of the nation being indigenous. Having spent only one day in the country, I was still able to experience the art, the culture, the people, and their phenomenal food. Having been invited into a family’s home in Izabel near the Siete Altares Waterfall (Seven Altars), the textures, smells, smiles, and surroundings left such an impression I long to return.
