Bombay Sapphire East Presents Luckyrice
An Epicurean Feast Inspired by Flavors of the East

Beyond happy to run into my friends, Chefs Shirley Chung {Twenty Eight}, Perry Cheung {Phorage}, and Chris Oh {Seoul Sausage} as well as the Mixologists from Mark and Johnnie Houston’s many speakeasys and bars (and no on in LA does it quite like they do), tonight’s Epicurean Lineup was something I was looking forward to. Can’t beat great people, memorable cuisine, and knowing you’re going home with a happy belly and a pleased palate. The highlights for me were Little Sister (The braised beef and tendon had so much flavor and the perfect amount of heat, I would eat this every day), Twenty-Eight (The octopus was flawlessly cooked and seasoned), The District by Hannah An (The noodles were lovely), and Fluff Ice (I genuinely have NEVER had any “ice” that tasted like this – it was divine). In addition to the lineup of Eastern-inspired fare, the sponsored Bombay Sapphire East cocktails, Toyota was also on-hand for playful pics, a little on-site trivia, and a few parting gifts. All in all, in spite of the heat and humidity brutally bearing down, it was eclectic blend of food, crowd and refreshing drinks.
My only complaint was that I left hungry.
