When Malala Yousafzai was just 14 years old she was shot by Pakistani militants who were angered because she was standing up for equal rights and education for girls. Malala survived this assassination attempt and went on to be the youngest recipient of the Nobel Prize at age 17. Malala is making a huge impact by advocating for increased access to education for all children in the most vulnerable communities in the world.

Now Schoola, a simple fundraising program that sells gently used stylish children and women’s clothing at deeply discounted prices to benefit schools nationwide, is standing #withMalala to support this important mission.

Schoola is partnering with brands including Gymboree, Tea Collection and ModCloth to raise money for the Malala Fund. These companies have made generous donations of thousands of new-with-tags items that are for sale on Schoola. You can feel great about shopping these exclusive collections because every purchase supports the Malala Fund.

Schoola will take it from there and 40% of the proceeds will go directly to the Malala Fund to support girls’ education projects worldwide. Inspired and led by Malala’s example, the Malala Fund works to secure girls’ rights to a minimum of 12 years of quality education, particularly in the Global South. You can learn more here.

Schoola was founded in order to help children reach their full potential at school and is honored to help share Malala’s story and mission. Launched during the 2012/13 school year, Schoola has now grown dramatically to working with close to 16,000 schools nationwide helping to organize individual clothing donations as well as community clothing drives to raise much needed funds for students.

Success stories include raising $56,000 in funds that helped keep an art program alive in San Francisco, new computers in St. Louis classrooms, and a top earning school in New York has earned over $61,000 to keep its orchestra playing.

By donating and shopping Schoola.com, you can help meet their goal of raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Malala’s foundation with the added bonus of dressing you and your loved ones in style.
