Seattle

Seattle, Washington

“If you started in New York you were dealing with the biggest guys in the world. You’re dealing with Charlie Parker and all the big bands and everything. We got more experience working in Seattle.” – Quincy Jones

More than the birth of grunge and the pinnacle of the Space Needle, Seattle has become a haven for restaurants, artists, little gems, and yes, music.

For a band that’s only been around since 2009, Best Coast has been making the kind of impact usually associated with bands that have been together a little bit longer. Their 2010 album “Crazy for You” was featured on a number of year-end lists. Originally consisting of two guitarists, Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno, Best Coast complemented their surf rock sound by adding Ali Koehler, formerly the drummer from Vivian Girls, early last year.

Proceeds will benefit Lambert House.
