Pulse on LA – No.1
Because savoring life in LA can be something of an adventure.
[dropcap letter=”I”] have grown up in Los Angeles and have watched it grow, plummet, expand, broaden, change, invigorate, excel, and ultimately prove why this city is so utterly phenomenal: Nothing keeps it from evolving. LA is a city always keeping you on your toes. That said, it’s almost impossible to keep up on what’s happening (because literally, every day, something new is on the scene), so – I figured I’d help you keep a “Pulse on LA”.
From food to art to random popup events, you can’t ever safely say you’re “bored” in the City of Angels. And, in truth – my love for the city is continually restored because of it. For this 1st post, I wanted to share some of the weekly finds that will feed your cravings no matter what day of the week it is.
Translation: You’ll actually have something to do even when good ole Monday ruins your weekend bliss. Tah-dah!

EVERY THURSDAY | Who Says You Can’t Get GOOD Fried Chicken in LA other than our staple at Roscoe’s Chicken + Waffles?!
The Churchill |Â 8384 W 3rd St. | West Hollywood, CA 90048
Well, now you can invite anyone you know in search of some Killer Fried Chicken (at least until it runs out!) to feast their bellies at The Churchill (which also just happens to be one of the most fab #Brunch spots in the city). In the spirit of Franklin BBQ in Austin (minus the 12-hour lines), Chef Michael Bryant is about to make you a very happy diner.
Tuck your napkin in your shirt and come with an empty stomach!  Chef Michael Bryant of the West Hollywood hotspot, The Churchill, is bringing the Southern classic fried chicken to Los Angeles every Thursday starting at 4 pm until they run out! Hailing from Virginia, Chef Michael grew up enjoying in some of the best fried chicken around and decided that Los Angeles locals needed to have the same opportunity to indulge in this Southern dish. Using his family recipe and techniques he learned throughout his travels, Chef Michael pairs this mouthwatering entree with delicious slow cooked green beans infused with bacon and onions, savory mashed potatoes mixed with Gruyere cheese, spicy pickled cucumbers and freshly baked cheddar jalapeno biscuits.
If this perfected dish and sides are not enough on their own, The Churchill has a large hand crafted beer selection to complement this rich and flavorful meal.  We recommend the Allagash Curieux, a beer that is stored in whiskey barrels to up the alcohol content, as a heavenly addition to this meal. Whether you want to stop in to have a bite of the legendary fried chicken on your own or come with friends and opt for the family style option ($25 for an entire chicken), The Churchill’s fried chicken night will not disappoint!
