Acre is a 25 acre piece of farmland adjacent to San Jose del Cabo. The restaurant, cocktail bar, event space and surrounding farms is the first phase. 12 tree-houses will be added to our palm forest shortly. Eventually the full 25 acres will be developed as a space for people to relax, learn, rejuvenate and celebrate.

All efforts have been made to keep Acre true to its place. The very walls are made from compressing the surrounding earth. The shade structures above you are made with sticks from local palo de arco trees. All of the furniture, dishware, lighting and accessories come from the Baja or the Mexican mainland. It’s our belief that people appreciate authenticity in their surroundings.

Inside, wood clad walls emanate warmth, safety and protection – a cozy hideaway after a day spent discovering the amazing Patagonian outdoors. The essence of the interior decoration mirrors the design of our sister hotel, Tierra Atacama and here, as there, furnishings and textiles were hand made by Chilean craftspeople, using natural materials from the region, high quality workmanship and inspiration from the surrounding estancias as well as the influence of the native Tehuelche people.

TREE HOTEL | The Blue Cone

The Blue Cone is based on simplicity and accessibility, both in terms of material and design. The room is a traditional wooden structure with three foundations in the ground to give a sense of height and lightness, but also stability.

You access the room via a bridge from the nearby mountain. The bridge is well suited for people with disabilities. The exterior consists of laminated birch wood, the interior of timber. The treeroom is 22m² and has four beds, separate sleeping loft, bathroom and living room. Shower and sauna is located in two separate buildings close by. All our tree rooms has free WiFi.

Britta’s Pensionat is open for Treehotel’s guests, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in an authentic 1930-1950’s setting. There’s a restaurant, bar, sauna and relaxation area, TV, and internet. When you arrive at Treehotel, you first check at Britta’s pensionat; then it’s a short stroll through the breathtaking nature to your treeroom.
