Some moms really love to cook and this DIY vegan recipe book by Nicole Axworthy and Lisa Pitman? It has easy, healthy recipes to aid every woman (and vegan) when they’re hungry and out of ideas. While you may have to invest in some mason jars and a few kitchen utensils to go along with the book, the ideas really are incredibly diverse and easy to follow. Like anything good, it requires a little planning but it’s well worth it.

Psuedo Skydiving {wind tunnel}- or – Ziplining on Santa Catalina Island

Not every mom lives life according to planned so why not give yours the gift of adventure? Ever tried sky diving? Sure maybe that’s crazy so a safe way of giving her that rush? The wind tunnel. Another idea? Take her zip lining in the deep crevices of Santa Catalina Island. 

The wind tunnel: A simulated skydiving experience that happens safely on the ground. While it sounds silly, this is actually how skydiving teams practice complex moves before jumping out of an airplane so if your mom has always wanted to go skydiving in theory but is still a little scared, the wind tunnel is the perfect option! Next up? How about sending her to California’s beautiful Santa Catalina Island to do the Zipline Eco Tour in the heart of the island? Propel down 5 separate zip lines dropping from 600 feet above sea level with one run that is 1,100 lineal feet long all on its own. A two-hour adventure, your mom will take in some beautiful scenery, learn about the island itself and when she’s done? Send her into town for margaritas!
