FOREIGN & DOMESTIC ANNOUNCES INDIE CHEFS TABLE MONTHLY SERIES
Jason Vincent of Chicago’s Nightwood Restaurant Will Kick Off the Culinary Series on April 21
Foreign + Domestic | 306 E 53rd St. | Austin, TX 78751
February 2012. The very first time I discovered Chef Ned and Jodi Elliot. I had only just begun ATOD Magazine™. I heard that they had just opened and so I called to see if I could schedule a tasting. Ned Elliot was gracious enough to extend an invitation to me before they opened for dinner service mid week. I went in to the small and modest space decorated with warmth and oozing with story and sat down in a chair patiently waiting as he came over to me and delivered dish by dish. The one that genuinely threw my palate into ecstasy was the Duck Broth Soup with rainbow beets. The culmination of flavor swimming marvelously together was something I had never quite experienced. Since then, I have followed his and wife’s Jodi’s journey through the culinary landscape of Austin.
I was honored to finally be able to sample Jodi’s desserts at an event last year during the Austin Food & Wine Festival. They are beginning a brand new Monthly Chef Series and I encourage you to make your reservations in advance.
