GLCO + Amélie Pichard Collaborate with SUNGLASSES
L.A. meets Paris in this limited edition sunglasses collaboration inspired by strong and sexy female icons.
Garrett Leight California Optical and Amélie Pichard have joined forces to bring fashion lovers around the world a new line of sunglasses.
West Coast eyewear brand Garrett Leight California Optical is pleased to announce their collaboration frame with French shoe designer Amélie Pichard, influenced by strong and sexy icons of past and present.
Amélie has a fearless sense of style that we find really inspiring,” says Garrett Leight, founder of Garrett Leight California Optical. “Most of our sunglasses are unisex, so it was fun to create a frame that is so overtly feminine.
Three iconic shades of femininity are reflected through three distinct looks: Grace, a bold frame with cool blue lenses inspired by Grace Jones, Juliette, a flirty tortoise frame with soft green lenses inspired by Juliette Lewis, and Pamela, a lively beige frame with gold lenses, appropriately named after Pamela Anderson.
Amélie Pichard injects dreamy surrealism and glamour into Garrett Leight’s California cool aesthetic. The result is a frame that is playfully fierce and undeniably feminine.
This limited edition style will be available for purchase on September 26th, at Garrett Leight La Brea, Amélie Pichard’s boutique in Paris and www.garrettleight.com ($425).
About GLCO
Amélie is everything that she claims her brand brand to be: dreamy but realistic, masculine but terribly sophisticated. She makes shoes in her image: timeless, surreal, and glamorous, but fitted to everyday life. Amélie’s world consists of glitter, nylons, corvettes, Persian kitties, G-strings, and Pamela Anderson’s radiant blonde hair and sublime round breastesses, pleather you like it or not. The easiest story to tell is your own. Amélie does just that by converting her visual interpretations of this charmed life into the delectable products that are her handbags and shoes. Her brand is as fun and furry as it is to say her name, Amélie Pichard. So fun to say with a French accent.
